Here at Francis Court care home we're all about having fun and getting the most out of life. We understand that it's important to keep busy, it helps residents to stay independent, for one thing, so they love the range of activities and events we plan for them, from arts and crafts to themed meal nights, quizzes and fundraising.
Every family worries about how their loved one will settle in to a care home. New residents are very welcome to bring their own furniture and possessions to Francis Court so that their rooms feel just like home. We'll even hang their pictures and photos exactly where they want them. What's more, we'll find out as much as we can about your loved one (with their, and your, help) so that every aspect of their care, from the food we provide, to the medication they need and the time they want to go to bed, is tailored to them.
We're always keen to hear what residents and their families think about Francis Court. That's why we hold regular meetings to give them the opportunity to ask questions and give feedback. We're quick to respond too: when relatives told us they wanted a friends and family room, we set about creating one.
Before becoming a resident at Francis Court our Management Team will have met the prospective resident and conducted a Care Needs Assessment. This initial assessment allows the Care Home Manager to put a full Care Plan in place and order any special equipment ahead of the resident moving into the home.
Please do give us a ring to organise coming to see Francis Court and to meet our Home Manager. We would be delighted to spend time finding out about yours or your loved ones care needs and share information on the care we provide.

I love doing my walkaround in Francis Court and having the chance to chat with residents. In this job you need to be a good listener, approachable and with a calm head. It helps that I’ve also worked as a Home Manager for another big care provider. And prior to that I commissioned a new care home in Chelmsford.
I wanted to join Care UK because I’ve always been aware of its great reputation as a progressive organisation that puts residents and colleagues first.
In my spare time I love to travel with my family. I like to go walking – it helps me to unwind – and I enjoy playing badminton and watching a good film.
I’m looking forward to working with the team to ensure that Francis Court residents get the best possible care and enjoy fulfilling lives in our Copthorne care home.
