From the manager

“I’m committed to working with my team to deliver the very highest standard of care for each of the residents at Heffle Court. I’m passionate about creating an environment where our Care Team can thrive and our residents enjoy a contented and dignified life. The knowledge, skills and experience of my team ensure that all residents can be comfortably accommodated within the home regardless of the level of care they might need. This continuity of care is reassuring for both residents and their families. Qualifying as a Registered Nurse at the Royal London Hospital over 29 years ago, I chose to specialise in elderly care very early and have gone on to enjoy a fulfilling career. I completed my Registered Manager’s Award in 2005. I’m proud to have achieved ‘Beacon’ status for the Gold Standards Framework in the home, which champions the very best practice in end of life care. I’m also proud that Heffle Court won “Best Dementia Care Home” at the Fifth National Dementia Care Awards in 2014 – recognising the outstanding work of our Care Team and the fantastic dementia care provided at Heffle Court. I’m always looking to improve care provision and encourage our residents, family and team members to come to me with ideas and suggestions, either in our regular meetings or by my open door policy. I also work very closely with professional peers to ensure high standards are maintained and built upon. I take great pride in ensuring that Heffle Court is a home for every resident. I work hard to make sure that it is always safe and geared to caring for resident’s needs. Care is not just about physical wellbeing it is about the resident as a whole person. Its also about treating the residents as individuals and making sure the Care Home truly becomes their home.”
