Overlooking Durham Cathedral and Castle, St Margaret’s is in a truly enviable location. This lovely, purpose-built home with 60 beds offers residential, nursing care and residential memory care, for those living with dementia.

This friendly home offers a choice of four sitting rooms and four dining areas, all with magnificent views. In addition, there is a dedicated activities and entertainment room and hairdressing salon. Outside, the courtyard garden, cared for by some of our Residents, is a popular spot for relaxing and socialising with friends and relatives. All bright and comfortable bedrooms and living areas are easily accessible by wheelchair.

The home’s caring team has created a lovely family atmosphere, encouraging everyone to eat, celebrate and plan special occasions together. Residents are invited to decorate their rooms with small items of their own furniture and treasured belongings, so that it feels just like home. Daily life is thoughtfully designed to support mind, body and soul.

St. Margaret’s Home Manager will make sure that all Residents receive the kindest possible care. Our extensively trained team will deliver all the nursing and specialist care and support services that your loved one requires.
