Melbury Court is a lovely, purpose-built care home in the heart of historic Durham with 87 beds. The home offers nursing, general residential and residential memory care, for those living with dementia.

This friendly home offers the choice of several tastefully decorated sitting rooms and dining areas. The landscaped garden, which is looked after by some of our Residents, is a popular place to sit and relax or catch up with friends and family. Some rooms have direct access to the garden. All our stylish, bright and comfortable bedrooms and living areas are easily accessible by wheelchair.

The home’s caring team has created a family atmosphere, encouraging everyone to eat and celebrate special occasions together. Residents are invited to decorate their rooms with small items of their own furniture and treasured belongings, so that it feels just like home. Daily life at Melbury Court is thoughtfully designed to support mind, body and soul.

Melbury Court’s Home Manager will make sure that every single Resident receives the kindest possible care. Our extensively trained team deliver all the nursing and specialist care and support services that your loved one could possibly require.
