Silversprings care home delivers a range of quality care for older people. There's our weekly dementia activities club for people in the local community who are living with dementia, and their carers. We also offer short respite stays to give family carers some well-deserved time off, as well as full-time residential and nursing care.
We encourage residents to make full use of shared areas at Silversprings including lounges, the dining room and outdoor areas. Residents are also encouraged to personalise their bedrooms to their heart's content. It is important that their bedrooms are a space that they feel fully settled and comfortable in.
Good nutrition and hydration are an important part of staying well as we age. Silversprings' kitchen team are able to support people with a range of dietary requirements, including specialist diets. Our Home Chefs do their best to tempt even the smallest of appetites and sweet treats are always provided to celebrate special occasions!
Please do give us a ring to organise coming to see us and to meet our Home Manager. We would be delighted to spend time finding out about yours or your loved ones care needs and share information on the care we provide.
From the manager
“I first qualified as a nurse back in 1987 and completed further training in 1992. I then worked in both health and social care, working with adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and also as a manager of two other care homes in Suffolk. I joined Silversprings in 2020 after seeing from the Care UK website how beautiful the home is. I believe it’s important for the home manager to be approachable, caring, and open with both their team, the families, and also and most importantly the residents that live in the home. My favourite part of my job is knowing that no one day is the same. I love spending time with the residents and also seeing how the staff engage with them, hearing their stories from their youth and their words of wisdom to the younger generation. Outside of work spending time with my family is my big love, I have three grown-up children, and a beautiful granddaughter who stays regularly. I also enjoy walking my Labrador, Max, in the countryside around my home. A glass of rosé wine is my favourite tipple after a long day.”
