Kent House is located in the Kent coastal town of the Broadstairs and is a small and intimate care home specialising in dementia, residential and respite care for elderly residents.

All of its rooms are ensuite and residents are encouraged to personalise rooms as much as they would like to make them feel at home.

Residents can socialise in communal areas and take part in organised activities or events.

The daily changing choice of activities, from games and quizzes, to visiting performers and hands-on arts and crafts sessions, also keep residents active and engaged.

The homes outdoor patio area allows residents to enjoy the fresh air and engage in outdoor activities such as gardening or golf.

The home benefits from good links with the local community and regularly welcome community groups including school groups and local church groups.

The head chef offers a daily choice of freshly cooked meals to meet the needs and choices of residents at the home. Residents have been recently choosing new menu choices and new environment decor changes, aiming to give all residents voice and choice.

Manager's quote

I love that the care home I am a manager of because it is so warm, loving and welcoming. we make every resident feel like individuals and we support to each person needs. The staff are so welcoming and understanding of difficult times we my approach. Every day we make a difference to those who live with us. We all smile laugh and cry together. We support the families to our best abilities with their loved ones who live with us. We have the most beautiful front court yard which our residents totally love in the summer months. we are very welcoming of each individual who enters our door, that be residents or relatives we like you to feel you’re at home. We have consistency with care staff who have worked with us for over 10 years, we have a good community network with the nurses and G.Ps within the area. our aim is to support each person as an individual and to fulfill that person with the best possible life we can.
