From the manager
“Jane is a mother of 2, with a daughter and a son who are now grown up and have families of their own. Jane is a proud grandmother of 5 grandchildren, whom she adores. Jane started her career in a nursing home over 20 years ago and worked her way through her qualifications completing level 2, 3, 4 and leadership and management. Jane always wanted to care for people even as a child and always wanted to help the less fortunate. During Jane’s studies her tutor advised her to go to University to study ‘nursing’, however Jane had other ideas and really wanted to make a difference. As a child, Jane, was always around people with learning disabilities whom she would share holidays and social events. Jane felt this was the area that she wanted to pursue and to support people to make a difference. Jane worked her way up to become a Registered Manager. In August 2017, Jane was appointed the Care Home Manager of Digby Manor and has been part of a magical experience since. Jane feels very passionate about her role and making a difference through ‘Good Quality Care.’ And so the journey continues for Digby Manor to be ‘outstanding’ in all areas by the regulator, CQC.”
