Bailey Lodge is a brand-new, purpose-built care home in Saffron Walden. The experienced team offer a range of quality care services including residential, respite and specialist dementia care.
The luxury care home has many facilities, including a welcoming café, a cinema room and a hair and beauty salon. Residents can relax in the spacious lounges, dining rooms and activity rooms, which are perfect for socialising and entertaining family and friends. Each bedroom is tastefully furnished with an ensuite bathroom, and outside there are beautiful, landscaped gardens.
The team are passionate about supporting older people to live well in later life, creating a care plan with their individual needs and preferences.
From the manager
“I am passionate about providing meaningful care to older people and ensuring that we make a positive impact on residents’ lives. I have been a home manager for eight years and have a BSc Hons. in nursing, as well as a level five in health and social care. I chose to join Care UK because of its values and ethos. In my role, you need to be patient, have good listening and communication skills, and be understanding. Being calm in any situation helps too. I think my favourite part of the day is the morning. It’s a time when we can decide what to prioritise and how to approach the day. A lot of moments stand out for me as highlights. I helped achieve an ‘outstanding’ rating for another Care UK home in 2021. I’m also proud to be able to support colleagues and share the knowledge I’ve learned over the years. It’s all about improving care and standards for the better so residents can benefit. Outside of work, I captain a local cricket team. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my family. My wife is also a nurse, and we have three children so life is wonderful and busy.”
