We are The Island Residential Home; a family fun provider of residential care based in Leysdown, Kent.

Based in an idyllic location by the sea, we have been established for over 30 years and provide a safe, loving environment to 33 residents spread across two floors.

On our ground floor we support 16 residents living with a physical disability and on our first floor we support 18 older frail residents.

We specialise in supporting those with long term conditions such as Dementia, Korsakoff's, Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury and general frailty.

Our promise is to take care of the important things and find out what matters to you because that’s what’s important to us and helps us to provide the best care for your needs.

All our residents have a right to be treated with respect and to be recognised for their uniqueness.

In doing this, we work closely with residents, their families and health care professionals and allow them to make decisions and be able to select from as many options as possible.

We also have a diverse activities programme which is put together from requests from our residents.

This involves activities within the home as well as day trips out to local attractions such as Leeds Castle and local coffee shops.

We have an open-door policy and regularly welcome visitors. If you are considering a care home, we would love to invite you to pop in and join us for a cup of tea and to meet the team!
