My father-in-law spent the last two and a half years at Ivydene Nursing Home and we cannot praise it there more highly. He felt like he was living in a 5* hotel, rather than a home. The staff were so kind, super helpful and so patient with him when his condition made him a little demanding. The activities were excellent and we are sure this kept him more mentally alert as his vascular dementia had caused him to deteriorate before he went there. We would recommend Ivydene to anyone needing the best of care.

Very happy with the care provided to my mum, who has dementia. She's been there for about 9 months now. Compassionate staff, good care, good manager.

My dad was resident here where he suffered at their hands. He had dementia which meant they could pretty much say anything. I shared personal pictures on social media and was threatened with sanctuary lawyers if it wasn't removed. If anyone would like the details that sanctuary would like to remain hidden please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
I would suggest if you truly care for your loved one that you carry on your search. A good home is very hard to find but they do exist.

My dad was often left in states of cold, dirty and unkempt. The explanation from Sanctuary were that dad was refusing care, I visited every day work one minute away from the home and took photographs. If anyone wishes to see them please contact me. He was admitted to hospital with URASEPSIS and a grade 4 bed sore. The Hospital raised a safeguarding issue.
When he went to another home he never refused care at any time.
It is not possible to put a review on their site without going through a panel.
