Our commitment to care
We offer a full range of residential and dementia care at Guysfield – including trial stays, short stay and convalescent care, as well as long-term care.

Our residents benefit from a broad and stimulating range of activities, with a programme developed in partnership with our dedicated Activities Coordinator. We always encourage residents to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms and to make them their own.

Visiting us
Guysfield operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at the times that are most convenient for them.

Accreditation
As the Home Manager at Guysfield Residential Home, I lead my team to provide the highest standards of person-centred care at all times. Our home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission, with both ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation.

Our history
Originally a substantial country house built in 1884, Guysfield has been sensitively converted and extended to provide the very highest standard of residential care.

The original house retains a wealth of period features and the substantial mature gardens are a favourite amongst our residents and visitors alike, both during spells of warmer weather and when enjoying the views from our Victorian style conservatory.

Our location
We play a very active role in village life at Guysfield, with many residents making the most of local amenities – including the village shop, post office and our two local pubs: ‘The Fox’ and ‘The Three Horseshoes’.

Manager's quote

As Home Manager of Guysfield, I lead a professional staff team in delivering the highest standards of residential care for up to 48 elderly people.

Having started as a Care Assistant at Guysfield over 12 years ago and working my way up to Home Manager, I bring stability, continuity and a familiar face to the role. I take my responsibilities very seriously and strive to maintain a safe environment, promote the highest standard of care and make a positive difference to each and every resident’s life.

Guysfield has been such a big part of my life for the past twelve years that I am delighted to continue the good work we do here in delivering the best possible care for our residents.

I strongly believe in maintaining a ‘hands on’ approach to management. I understand the importance of listening to residents, relatives and staff, and the key contribution all of these groups make to the successful running of a care home.

I am keen to take a proactive approach to the training programme within the home, built primarily around delivering highly person centred care for the residents of Guysfield, but also supporting effective personal development for my care team, I am currently working towards my QCF Level 5.

I live just a few miles from Guysfield. In my leisure time I like to take advantage of the picturesque surroundings of the local area, enjoying many outdoor activities and socialising with family and friends.
