Originally a Country House built by the former Chancellor of the Exchequer in the 1820's, Barchester Healthcare have been operating Westergate House since late 2003 as a care home. We continue to be a part of the local community providing a safe, secure and happy place for people to live as they wish. Westergate House has a great deal of charm and character, being a Grade II listed building which has been sensitively adapted it now provides a beautiful care setting located in sumptuous grounds on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Arundel in West Sussex, right next door to Fontwell Race Course.

Westergate House provides high quality nursing and residential care and is dedicated to supporting those with dementia in our specialised Memory Lane Community. Excellent standards of care and companionship are fundamental to our ongoing commitment to providing the utmost in quality for all. We pride ourselves on our ability to adapt our services to suit the uniqueness of our residents, who are always at the heart of everything we do.

Our pet friendly home has been approved by the Cinnamon Trust, the national charity for the elderly and their pets. In recognition of this, we have been awarded the runners up prize in the Pet Friendly Care Home of the Year. We welcome a number of residents moving in along with their pets each year, whom we consider to be very much a part of family life at Westergate.

The home has a fully equipped minibus to enjoy the local amenities, whether it be the town centre, the sea front, or the beautiful countryside and rolling hills of the Sussex Downs.
