Located in Osbaldwick village, we provide high quality nursing and residential care and are conveniently based on the outskirts of the beautiful and historic city of York.

Meadowbeck is a modern, purpose-built home set in landscaped gardens which is ideally situated for friends and relatives to visit, at any time of the day. Our dedicated and experienced team is passionate about providing quality 24-hour nursing care, that affords the best possible alternative for those who are no longer able to manage at home. We work to empower our residents to regain independence, choice and freedom in their lives, in a safe and comfortable setting.

We are proud to have a team of long-serving and highly-qualified staff who are committed and loyal to both our home and our residents. With a care plan tailored for each person, the focus is on the individual needs of our residents, and this support can be seen in everything we do... not only in our care but in our cooking, hospitality, activities and even trips out in our minibus. We performed strongly in Your Care Rating 2017, a nationwide survey of care home residents. The results show we were given an overall performance rating score of 920 out of 1,000. You can read the report here.

We aim to improve the quality of life for each and every resident living in our home and we believe you'll find we're ideally suited to meet your needs, both now and in the future.

Why not arrange a visit or call in for a cup of tea or coffee and see for yourself!

Life at our home is composed of many key elements, not least of all, a dedicated team who strive to deliver high quality care, exciting activities and delicious food for the individuals we support. These services are enhanced by our excellent facilities, which serve to make residents’ time here as comfortable as possible.

Manager's quote

Hi, my name is Dannie, and I am the General Manager here at Meadowbeck.

I have been a qualified nurse since 1996 and I have gained a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience in the nursing field since then. I feel privileged to be a part of such a lovely, caring, friendly and hardworking team.

My journey with Barchester commenced in 2015, when I started work as a staff Nurse. In that same year, I was promoted to Deputy Manager & Clinical lead.

Throughout the years, I have been supporting sister homes in the company, eventually ending up at Meadowbeck.

I feel really privileged to be a part of such a lovely, caring, friendly and hardworking team here at Meadowbeck, where care and compassion are key values.

I have an open door policy, so please feel free to pop in to have a chat.
