Sycamores provides long-term residential care for older people and people living with dementia.
Sycamores has been designed as three separate households with the ground floor providing a home for 10 people, while the middle and top floors house 13 people each and can be accessed by a lift. Each household has a living area with a lounge, dining area and kitchenette, where people can make their own snacks and drinks, and staff are able to help with the preparation of hot refreshments.
The open living area is a central hub for each household where people like to get together and socialise with other residents, family and friends. You'll often find our regular exercise classes or activities happening in the living area or we might be outside in the garden.
The large garden includes paved areas, a specially designed cycle path for our side-by-side companion bike for two, lawn and bedding plants where residents can grow their own flowers, fruit and vegetables.
Sycamores also has a beauty salon offering unisex hairdressing and manicures.
The Memory Maker, our minibus, takes residents on local trips every month. Two wheelchairs can be accommodated on each trip and relatives can join in too.
