North Ferriby Nursing Home has run as a small family owned nursing and residential home since 1983 and is set within a beautiful Grade 11 list building known as Ferriby House. We aim to create "your home within our home" and encourage you to bring in your treasured possession and furnishings which adds to your comfort and sense of well-being.
We provide a range of care:
Nursing Care
Residential Care
Dementia Care (without challenging behayiour)
Physically Disabled Care
Palliative Care
Post Operative Care
Respite Care
Day Care (Not available currently due to the COVID restrictions)
We employ a highly skilled team of Registered Nurses who are supported by a well trained team of Nursing Auxiliaries who deliver care to support your unique needs and preferences, with the aim of maximising your health, comfort and peace of mind in a safe and relaxed environment.
Our chefs make traditional home cooked meals made from locally sourced produce and cater to your likes and dislikes.
Our Housekeeping team provide laundry services and keep the home odour free and clean and tidy.
We offer a wide range of accommodation from standard single rooms to very large en-suite double rooms suitable for married couples (which can be let as premium singles for those wishing to have a larger living space).
We offer a wide range of activities:
Armchair aerobics - twice weekly
Crafting - seasonally themed
Quizzes
Music and sing-a-longs
Reminiscence sessions
Games afternoons - we have a wide range of games from giant snakes and ladder, ludo, drafts and chess, giants cards, scrabble, monopoly, scatogories and many more.
Hairdressing twice weekly
The home has a large collection of jigsaws and books from your enjoyment.
Currently due to COVID we are unable to allow outside entertainers and the local community into the home, but under normal circumstances we would have:
Monthly religious services
The local Kindergarten visit bi-weekly
Live entertainers performing weekly
Ferriby Ladies Choir and others coming in seasonally
A visiting Masseur
A visiting manicurist
Current visiting arrangements
Lobby visiting with intercom - 6 slots per day of 25 minutes (3 slots per resident per week) please ring to book
Window visiting in the conservatory 6 slots per day for 25 minutes (3 slots per resident per week) please ring to book
Facetime - please ring to arrange
Patio visits (weather permitting) 1 daily at 12.10 for 1 constant visitor (limited to 2 per month of 20 minutes - if weather is inclement the lobby is available
Residents have access to free WIFI
All bedrooms are fitted with telephone sockets if a land line is needed
Mobile phones can be used in the home
All bedrooms have flat screen TV's provided
Profiling beds, pressure relief equipment, hoist and slings and other accessories are available and provided following a full assessments of an indiviuals care needs.
