Welcome to Dearnevale!

Dearnevale is a specialist care home in Grimethorpe, near Barnsley, for adults living with complex and high acuity needs.

The home specialises in supporting adults living with complex physical disabilities and neuro-disabilities including Huntington's disease and Parkinson's disease.

We're proud that the home is Huntington's Disease Association Quality Assured. This means that the home has the behaviours, cultures and specialist services required to specialise in caring for people living with Huntington’s disease.

Our Nurse-led team has the skills and expertise to support people with complex needs including prolonged disorders of consciousness and behaviours of concern, and those who require tracheostomies, ventilators and PEG feeding tubes.

We support people on their rehabilitation journey from hospital or living in a secure setting to community-based living. We also provide long term support for people living with degenerative or life-limiting illnesses.

Dearnevale also has a OneCare service which provides specialist nursing care for adults living with complex needs, in a domestic environment.

It's ideal for those with complex diagnoses and high acuity needs which cannot be met in a group living environment.

Please get in touch to find out more.
