High Lea House is a well established care home, having been opened by its present owner/manager in 1984. It has an excellent reputation , has been recommended by many people, and achieved "GOOD" ratings in all areas, by CQC inspectors.
The home, which has 25 bedrooms, all with ensuite WCs, is surrounded by attractive gardens with walkways and several patio areas.
Residents spend their time as they wish, include spending time quietly alone , or participating in the many group activities which included sing-a-longs, discussion groups, exercises, bingo, card games, dominoes, entertainment and tending to the raised gardens.
Residents needs are well met by a well trained and qualified staff group and from support of other professionals within the community.
Although High Lea House is a "Residential " Home (not EMI) , people who are "pleasantly confused" are welcomed, and, when appropriate, district nurses visit to attend to residents "nursing needs"

From the manager

“Many times the staff have been described as "lovely" "Kind" "so caring" and there have been residents saying "we couldn't be anywhere nicer" "It's more like a family here " "I wish I'd come years ago".”

— Yvonne Wakefield
