With regular exercise and cooking classes and plenty of other activities, the 5 residents are able to keep busy and active both at the home and in the local community.

The bright, hospitable sitting room leads out through French doors to a sunny patio and garden which is the pride of Sandgate’s team of gardeners. Residents are encouraged to decorate rooms to ensure they feel at home and each room is equipped with the latest technology to ensure residents physical disabilities are sensitively managed. Residents at Sandgate are physically disabled and tend to be younger adults, beautifully cared for by the 60 strong team of 24 hours a day highly committed and dedicated staff who work hard to provide a compassionate, family-oriented atmosphere for all who live there. The in-house chefs are constantly changing menus and offering residents a wide nutritious choice at every meal. BBQ’s in the garden for residents and families are a great occasion to enjoy the stunning grounds. The activities co-ordinator arranges activities at Sandgate including exercise mornings, karaoke, beauty treatments and for the more adventurous, sponsored fundraising walks and trips into town. Short term respite can be arranged subject to availability.
