Our nursing home offers a full range of residential, nursing and dementia support – including trial stays, short stay and convalescent care, as well as long-term care. We always encourage our residents to personalise their rooms with important personal possessions. Abbeycrest is ideally equipped to provide residential support for elderly people living with different types of dementia – including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and Korsakoff’s syndrome. Our Care Team never loses sight of the fact that, first and foremost, Abbeycrest is our residents’ home.

The majority of bedrooms are en-suite, set across two floors, with each room tastefully decorated and maintained to the highest standards. Hempton Field has as much personality as its residents—you can be proud to call it home. Activities staff oversee a busy schedule of events. Residents are encouraged to participate and help plan these events to ensure there is something for everyone. There are daily activities in the home, as well as frequent excursions outside it and big celebrations throughout the year. Hempton Field is situated on half an acre of grounds, where you can relax in the gorgeous sheltered courtyard, surrounded by flower beds and a pond. The gazebo area has views of the Chiltern Hills and is perfect for outdoor socialising.

The Hall had a significant role during the Second World War, playing host to Rudolph Hess and being visited by Winston Churchill on several occasions. The Hall’s historic character has been carefully preserved following its conversion to a care home in Henley-upon-Thames. In addition to our beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, residents can relax in the stunning panelled library and dining room or enjoy views of the gardens from the bright and airy conservatory.
