Dovedale has a dedicated Memory Lane Community that provides a safe, homely environment for people living with dementia, which has been designed following these guidelines: the care we provide supports residents’ freedom of choice. We aim to maintain their life-skills, improving their self-esteem and helping them to maintain and develop their independence while they are living with us at Dovedale. We have created a home-like feel where the environment has been appropriately adapted to meet the needs of the ladies and gentlemen we support. The environment includes memory boxes, carefully designed corridors and interior decoration, special crockery, tableware and kitchens, alongside enclosed sensory gardens with low risk walkways.
