Chiltern View provides a home where people can be helped to live as normally as possible and where the emphasis is on quality and enjoyment of life. The staff offer highly skilled nursing care when necessary and are proud to do so in an environment where residents are helped to feel they are still in charge of their own lives. The atmosphere of the home is one of light and colour, and it is divided into self-contained households to give a home-like feel of small family units. Each household consists of 15 bedrooms, a welcoming sitting room and a small kitchen area. The entrance hall, sitting rooms and dining room are all comfortable and easy to identify, and provide sociable places to be with others. For those who prefer more peace and solitude, their privacy is respected.The home’s philosophy is that residents should be able to make decisions for themselves and choose how to spend their time. At the same time, the professional knowledge and expertise of the staff ensures that skilled nursing care is provided appropriately. Chiltern View enjoys close links with the local community and families and friends are encouraged to be involved. Many activities and outings are organised, and residents are encouraged to continue with previous leisure interests.Led by an enthusiastic and well-qualified home manager, the staff at Chiltern View work as a very close team and are committed to the Brendoncare philosophy. They make every effort to provide care which promotes privacy, dignity and normality, and to understand each resident’s needs and preferences. Registered nurses are always on duty supported by well-trained care assistants, and all the staff receive continuous education and development. Local GPs and a Consultant Psychiatrist support the home and visit regularly, and a Clinical Psychologist is also closely involved. A chiropodist attends the home on a regular basis and other services can always be arranged.

Chalfont Lodge is a purpose-built residential care home in Buckinghamshire in the small village of Chalfont St Peter, close to Gerrards Cross and with good public transport links to local towns. Chalfont Lodge is also a nursing home and offers nursing care to people with a variety of complex needs, including frail older people and people living with dementia, who are supported in a dedicated Memory Lane Community. We are proud to be one of the first homes to be accredited as part of Barchester’s 10-60-06 Dementia Care programme, reflecting the enhanced quality of dementia care and improved quality of life experienced by residents here at Chalfont Lodge. Chalfont Lodge specialise in treating a range of neurological conditions, including acquired brain injuries and care for younger people with physical disabilities. There are strong links with local multi-disciplinary services including orthotics, wheelchair, and SALT. We specialise in 24 hour postural management of complex disabilities and specialist seating. We run regular consultant and specialist nurse run review clinics. Treatments are patient and relative goal centred and aim to manage the patient holistically. We use a wide range of modalities including exercise therapy, hydrotherapy, rebound therapy and chest physiotherapy (provided by our in-house physiotherapy team) to achieve maximal benefits for our patients. Our staff are well-trained and compassionate, concerned to ensure that the people we support enjoy life as much as they can.
