Manager's quote

Welcome to Broomfield Court Care Home

We offer first class care for the elderly on a permanent or respite basis, delivered by highly trained professionals in lovely comfortable surroundings.

Our philosophy is simple; we want everyone to enjoy life to the full. We never forget that all our residents are individuals and we treat them with dignity, privacy and respect while offering freedom of choice and as much independence as possible.

Friends and family are welcome at any time. Hot drinks and snacks are always available and guests are invited to share a meal with residents. Our cook prepares three nutritious meals a day and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce. Special diets are catered for.

Residents have freedom to choose what to do and when. There is plenty going and our activities coordinator puts together a full programme which is adapted to suit the needs and wishes of our residents. Activities include quizzes, sing-alongs, reminiscence therapy, indoor games, art and craft, baking and wherever possible, trips out and about.

I’d love to show you around the home. So if you should like a tour, or wish to discuss any aspect of elderly care with me, please telephone the home to make an appointment.

My mother was admitted to this home originally for 2 weeks but took her out early as staff were guilty of neglect and if I had the money I would have sued them.
Upon visiting my mother I saw her hair was all over the place and no one had brushed it for her and when I enquired why one of the senior members of staff told me they had no shampoo to wash her hair even though I told them several times to call me if they needed anything for her and my mother also suffers from incontinence and i made it clear to them that conotrane cream must be applied to her bottom every time she is washed to prevent her bottom from breaking out in nasty rash due to urine burning her skin but when i took her out and brought her home her carer discovered the nasty rash had returned and even suggested she may need to go to hospital but i knew if we applied the cream the rash would clear up in a few days although it can be pretty nasty and painful causing the skin to break but for the week she was in this home no one had used the cream to keep her protected which makes me think they were not even washing her for if they had been washing her they would have seen the rash and if they saw the rash why did they do nothing about it.
Sheer negligence and I would not put a dog into this care home.
