Located close to Portobello’s promenade and minutes from the heart of Edinburgh, Lauder Lodge care home offers experienced and compassionate nursing, residential and dementia care. The dedicated care and nursing teams can meet the most complex of needs.

The home has wonderful hotel-style facilities for residents to enjoy every day, including a cinema room, bar, hair and beauty salon, a contemporary café with a terrace and incredible view of Arthur's Seat.

Life at Lauder Lodge is all about choice and personalisation. Everything is tailored to your loved one’s individual needs, from the care they receive, to the group and one-to-one activities planned by the lifestyle team, and the food served up by the chef-led catering team.

From the manager

“I’m a qualified nurse and have worked in a children’s clinic as well as in older people’s care. Joining Lauder Lodge has been very exciting for me: commissioning a new home is a challenge, and the whole team has worked closely together to create a wonderful home from home.  I’ve enjoyed getting to know the team in the process, identifying their strengths and using them to everyone’s advantage. I’m enjoying watching the team grow while providing exceptional service and tailored care for every resident.  I’m infamous for my sweet tooth, so I particularly enjoy afternoon tea time, when I can spend time with the residents, sharing stories and memories over a cup of tea and, of course, freshly baked goodies!  Outside of work, shopping is a guilty pleasure of mine, followed by coffee dates with friends – usually just an excuse to get the biggest cake on display!”
