Lynde House is without doubt one of Richmond’s best care homes. It is located by the Thames, with views of The Terrace and surrounding meadows.

We provide nursing care for older people, palliative care and care for people with sensory disabilities. Purpose-built in 1998 and acquired by Barchester Healthcare in 2004, Lynde House has consistently grown in reputation for the care provided by our first class team of staff. We emphasise the traditional values of compassion, care and dignity whilst celebrating life to the full. Innovative thinking and an understanding of resident and relatives’ expectations has elevated standards to the highest levels.

Our dedicated team of attentive staff - nurses, carers, hospitality, housekeeping, maintenance, entertainment, administration and gardeners - are available to assist in any way they can, so our residents can be assured of a needs-focused, caring and respectful service. Facilities at Lynde House include a first class team of well-trained clinical and non-clinical staff, an excellent team of healthcare professionals supporting care in our home including a GP, chiropodist, optician, masseuse and an in-house physiotherapist and excellent links with other health and social care providers in the area.

We have beautiful gardens and vistas, wheelchair accessible rooms and public areas on both floors of the home, including elegant dining facilities and lounges. We provide a wide range of activities catering to all tastes from live musical entertainment to drama club and exercise classes. Nutrition is a key aspect of the care we provide and our award-winning chef and his team provide first class food, freshly prepared at breakfast, lunchtime and in the evening, seven days of the week. Our rooms all have en-suite toilets and TVs and are decorated to the highest standard. Residents are encouraged to bring treasured possessions with them when moving into their new home - people’s rooms reflect their characters and interests.

Our General Manager is an experienced professional with over 25 years experience in healthcare, most recently as Director of Clinical Services for an acute NHS Hospital Trust. She is supported by a team of dedicated professionals whose mission is to maintain the highest of standards for our residents in a professional but relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Barchester sees staff development as one of the core requirements for achieving good quality care: we at Lynde House endorse this fully and ensure there is a well-trained, competent team of staff to care for our residents.

We are proud of our consistently good inspection ratings. We welcome visitors and will be happy to answer queries - we are here to help if we can.

Life at our home is composed of many key elements, not least of all, a dedicated team who strive to deliver high quality care, exciting activities and delicious food for the individuals we support. These services are enhanced by our excellent facilities, which serve to make residents’ time here as comfortable as possible.
