Oaklands House is located near Southwold, a town famous for its brewery, excellent shopping, beach and pier.

The property is surrounded by nearly five acres of mature woodland, and is lucky with it's unique location in the Suffolk countryside amongst a wide range of flora and fauna. Residents can enjoy extensive views over the tree-lined gardens, which also provide a perfect setting for walks or relaxation.

Accommodation at Oaklands House offers hotel-style living, a perfect choice for anyone seeking a high quality lifestyle in their later years. There are a number of exquisite reception rooms, all furnished and decorated to a very high standard, that can be accessed via an attractive entrance hall. The stunning south-facing conservatory is ideal for peace and quiet but is also a popular meeting place for residents and guests. Bedrooms at Oaklands are fully furnished, however, residents are welcome to bring as much or as little of their own furniture and effects as they wish.

Care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. Staff are constantly available to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.

Residents are regularly assessed to ensure their needs are fully met. Appointments can be arranged with a visiting optician, dentist, and chiropodist. There is also an in-house hairdressing salon that provides all the usual services. Catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, and special diets can of course be catered for. A silver service dining experience awaits you.

From the manager

““People love the way they are cared for at Oaklands. The residents are happy and tell us that it feels like home. Providing good care is paramount and we want people to be well cared for, safe and happy.” ”
